Research by Justin Sanders & August MarchettiSergeant Charles Nice, Company K, 4th Reserves. In "History of Pennsylvania Volunteers" only list Sgt. Nice as to have been wounded at Cloyd's Mountain. However, in a letter written by a Company K soldier, he gives a detailed account of his comrades in Company K who were wounded, killed, captured or missing on June 30th, 1862 at the Battle of Gaines' Mill.New information states: "Wounded – Sergeant Charles Nice, West Chester, ball through arm near elbow, slight;"1 Source: 1.
