Maytown 1860 Centennial Band

At some reenactment and performance events our Civil War musicians play violin, tin flute, drum, banjo, mandolin, and guitar in a group we call "The Maytown 1960 Centennial Band." The group plays authentic Civil War Era music as well as some Irish tunes appropriate to the time period. The core of the band is the Bechtel family directed by Tim Bechtel. Other FDC musicians are always welcome to join in at FDC functions. The Bechtel family band also plays folk music from around the world at many non-FDC events as "Pangea".
